We are growing and looking for a Site & Commissioning Engineer to join our AutoStore team.
You start your day from your home office and drive to the customer's sites. We provide you with a company car, also for private use.
Your tasks
As a Site & Commissioning Engineer, you ensure the safe, efficient, and on‑time installation and commissioning of AutoStore systems at customer sites. You act as the on‑site representative of Kardex, working closely with the project team, customers, and suppliers to deliver high‑quality, to‑specification installations.
You combine site‑management responsibility with technical commissioning expertise, ensuring smooth execution from installation to go‑live.
On‑Site Management
Act as the on‑site representative of Kardex throughout installation and commissioning
Prepare, organize, and manage multiple installation sites
Coordinate material deliveries, track supplies, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Lead daily progress reporting and participate in customer and supplier meetings
Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to Kardex and customer standards
Technical Commissioning
Configure AutoStore components, controllers, and IT/hardware systems
Monitor initial container storage and system ramp‑up
Perform component tests, system tests, performance tests, and acceptance procedures
Support go‑live activities and customer handover
Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions together with service teams
Customer Interaction & Training
Train customer operators and service personnel
Provide on‑site support during installation, commissioning, and early operations
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and professional communication
Contribution to the Organization
Support specification phases and realization strategies
Contribute to improving processes, templates, and tools
Embrace a startup‑like environment within a growing business unit
Your profile
Completed training in an electrotechnical profession (e.g., electrician, mechatronics technician, industrial electrician)
Bachelor’s degree is a plus
Knowledge of AutoStore, CAN bus, PLC, and safety regulations desirable
Strong communication skills and customer orientation
Ability to use AutoCAD, MS Office, and similar tools
Solid experience in site or project management of automation systems
Proven track record of successfully delivered projects
Experience working in construction‑like project environments
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel across the DACH region
Self‑driven, structured, and quality‑focused
Ability to build strong working relationships across teams

This position offers a minimum monthly salary of EUR 3.220,00 (x14 per year, full time basis), with willingness to overpay depending on experience and education.
