In our humanoid robotics department, we are seeking several outstanding humanoid robot developers to join our team. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of topics, varying according to the needs of 4NE-1. This includes:
Development, design, and optimization of mechanical systems for humanoid robots
Design of joints, structures, gearboxes, and actuators, taking into account weight, load capacity, and dynamics
CAD design and creation of technical drawings and parts lists
Performing strength, motion, and tolerance analyses
Working closely with the electronics, control engineering, and software departments
Building, integrating, and testing prototypes
Assisting in the selection of suitable materials and manufacturing processes
Documenting development results
Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or comparable field
In-depth knowledge of mechanical design and machine elements
Experience with CAD software (CREO, SolidWorks, Siemens NX)
Knowledge of kinematics and dynamics of robot systems
Knowledge of simulation (e.g., FEM, multibody)
Understanding of overall mechatronic systems
Ability to work in a team and a structured, independent way of working
Good knowledge of German or English
