As a Commercial Skilling Manager within The Global Skilling (GS) team, you will join a group dedicated to shaping the future of technical skills enablement and measurable business impact worldwide. The Global Skilling team is learner obsessed, building an enthusiastic learning culture and driving strategic initiatives that accelerate Microsoft’s growth as a Cloud and AI leader. In this role, you will develop and execute skilling plans empowering the global workforce and reaching new learners—especially those in emerging roles and evolving industries—ensuring they are equipped to thrive in the AI era.
You will collaborate with sales teams and internal stakeholders to ensure skilling and enablement are key differentiators in customer adoption of Microsoft platforms. Your expertise will be critical to helping customers accelerate digital transformation, achieve their business outcomes, and succeed on their AI journey. Responsibilities
Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of skilling opportunities to support our business. Regularly forecast and track skilling engagements, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic priorities of field sales teams and customer needs. Proactively communicate status and adjust plans to meet demand.
Orchestrate Resources for Execution: Execute skilling plans by orchestrating resources across digital platforms, training partners, and Microsoft trainers. Ensure excellence in execution by driving consistency, quality, and impact across delivery motions.
Innovation and Opportunity Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot novel learning initiatives that enhance AI adoption and drive organizational growth.
Qualifications

Master's Degree or equivalent AND/
-
OR several years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, quota management, human resources (HR), customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management

OR Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND/

OR several years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, HR, customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management

OR equivalent experience.

Fluency in both German and English required
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Microsoft offerings (products and cloud and AI services), processes, and tools preferred along with prior experience in crafting or delivering training across diverse technical domains.
Demonstrated thought leadership in learning & development, such as developing new training content, implementing innovative learning tools, or contributing to industry forums on skilling.
Communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business benefits. Presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills are a needed as well.

Integrated Learning & Skilling IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Switzerland is CHF 175,000.00 - CHF 300,200.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
