HVAC Technician / Building Services Technician

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join the Engineering Department of a luxury hospitality property. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling, plumbing, and building service systems across the hotel, spa facilities, and residential apartments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong fault-finding abilities who can ensure all guest-facing and operational systems remain fully functional and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC & Building Systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults relating to boilers, chillers, pumps, fan coil units, ventilation systems, and associated equipment.
- Monitor and maintain building management systems and technical plant equipment.
- Ensure efficient operation of heating and cooling infrastructure throughout the property.
Plumbing & Sanitary Systems
- Maintain water supply and drainage systems.
- Repair plumbing fixtures, toilets, bathrooms, showers, valves, pumps, and sanitary equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities.
Repairs & Troubleshooting
- Investigate technical faults and identify root causes.
- Perform repairs and coordinate specialist contractors where required.
- Support the commissioning and handover of newly completed buildings and facilities.
- Assist with snagging and post-construction defect rectification.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with technical regulations and maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Participate in emergency response procedures when required.
Candidate Profile
- Completed technical apprenticeship, Meister qualification, or equivalent trade qualification.
- Previous experience within hotels, resorts, commercial buildings, or facility management.
- Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC systems
- Heating and cooling technology
- Plumbing and sanitary installations
- Pumps, valves, and building services equipment
- Mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Hands-on and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
Language Requirements
- Fluent German (essential)
- Basic to intermediate English
