Overview:
The Global Technology Manager – Nylon serves as the global technology leader for Nylon and acts as the regional liaison and also act as the EMEA go-to person for Commercial stakeholders within the Engineering Resins product cluster (PA/PBT/PP-LFT).
Responsibilities:
As the global technology leader for Nylon, you will:

Serve as the regional liaison and primary contact for Commercial leaders within the Product Group.

Partner closely with:
-
Global and Regional Business Managers.
-
Global Marketing.
-
Regional Customer Facing Team.
-
Quality, Manufacturing and Product Stewardship.
-
Technology & Innovation (R&D) teams (regional labs, Project Management Organization, CAE, Field Technical Service)
-
Own and drive the Global Product Technology Roadmap (TRM), New Product Development, and strategy for the PA product line.

Act as the global decision maker for Nylon Product Line initiatives such as New Product Development/Business Cases/Product Transfer Requests/Productivity Projects.

Lead global product portfolio optimization.

Ensure global consistency in products, including formulations, performance, data generation, publications, and UL-related matters.

Work with the Asia leader to ensure Asia needs are included in the global plan and that the global strategy is executed in Asia.

Manage the PA team.

Co-lead the dotted-line PA team in Asia in partnership with the Asia leader
-
Lead the Global Technology meeting.

Participate in Global Staff Meetings and T&I leadership discussions.

Attend Global Business Management staff calls and leadership meetings.
-
Represent the technology group in regional business meetings and 1:1 discussions with commercial leads as needed.
Qualifications:
What YOU will bring to the team:

Master’s or PhD degree in polymer, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.

10 years of industry experience in engineering plastics.

Deep understanding of polymer chemistry, processing techniques such as injection molding and extrusion, and material characterization.

Proven leadership experience, including more than 3 years managing higher-profile technology teams.

Strong ability to foster innovation and translate technical concepts into business value.

Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
-
Knowledge of key applications such as automotive and electronics.
-
Understanding of challenges including chemical resistance, sustainability, and cost optimization.

Ability to transfer technical insights into technology strategy.
