Job Description
The RFP Writer role sits within the LGT CP’s Product & Client Services team and plays a leading role in executing the firm’s strategic sales objectives. As an RFP Writer, you will oversee and manage the entire RFP process, serving as an integral contributor to both client acquisition and retention.
Working within stated deadlines, you will collaborate directly with various stakeholders across the firm, managing and completing information requests from prospective and existing clients with the objective of winning pitches and retaining mandates.
These requests can be broadly categorized into Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and other requests for information including drafting white papers.
Responsibilities
Complete RFPs, RFIs and DDQs from prospective and existing investors across private and public markets;
Collaborate closely with business development, investment management and other internal teams;
Generate high quality responses and tailor the firm’s standard content as needed to communicate LGT CPs’ competitive positioning relevantly and effectively;
Manage the entire RFP process including follow up questions from clients and business development teams;
Ensure that the firm’s RFP database (Responsive) is regularly updated with new or revised content;
Leverage AI tools and the Responsive platform to drive efficiency, improve response quality and streamline the RFP workflow;
Prepare white papers, market commentary and other writing pieces.
Requirements
University degree in finance/economics, or similar qualification
CFA, CAIA or other professional financial qualifications would be a plus
2 - 3 years’ RFP experience in asset management (incl. internships)
Excellent written and verbal English; French or other languages would be an asset
Highly numerate, able to analyze data and produce sound analysis by synthesizing complex information
Ability to work well under pressure, and competently manage multiple deadlines
Clear and proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills - able to manage multiple stakeholders and drive consensus
Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
Team orientated and focused on achieving team excellence
Strong organizational and time management skills and high sense of urgency
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, in particular Word and Excel as well as interest in adopting new tools and systems
