Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will take on technical responsibility for customer-specific isolator projects – from preliminary clarification to commissioning. You will independently coordinate technical interfaces, develop process-reliable solutions in a regulated environment, and work closely with customers, partners, and internal departments. Your understanding of complex system processes, as well as your attention to quality, timelines, and costs, will be key to the project’s success. Responsibilities
- Process responsibility for isolator-relevant functions
- Lead and ensure general technical project coordination
- Execute engineering tasks and take ownership of process responsibilities
- Design, calculate, and define main components, including the main component list
- Develop and define required system processes
- Create project-specific specifications and design documents, such as P&IDs (Piping & Instrument Diagrams)
- Actively participate in regular meetings with customers and partner companies
- Prepare and, as needed, lead technical customer and partner meetings both in-house and externally around the world
- Assess, monitor, and ensure compliance with budget, timeline, and quality for the project engineering scope
- Confidently interact with suppliers, partners, and customers across SKAN’s entire business field
- Implement customer and regulatory requirements (GMP – Good Manufacturing Practice; MRL – Machinery Directive / MVO – Machinery Ordinance)
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10%)
Hardskills
- Knowledge in process and chemical engineering (ideally in isolator technology for the pharmaceutical industry)
- Experience in project management (time planning, resource management)
- Degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a completed technical education as a technician (HLS – heating, ventilation, and sanitation)
- Fluent in English and German (business level)
