We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Research / Lab Assistant (60–100%) to join a newly funded project investigating how tau pathology disrupts neural circuit function during the early stages of Alzheimer's disease.
The project combines mouse behaviour, chronic multi-region electrophysiological recordings (Neuropixels), viral approaches, and analysis of large-scale neural population activity to study how pathological changes in neural activity emerge and contribute to cognitive impairment.
Your responsibilities:
-
Perform and support experimental procedures in mice, including stereotaxic surgeries, behavioural training and testing and chronic in vivo electrophysiological recordings
-
Support histological processing and sample preparation for ex vivo experiments
-
Support the monitoring of animals before, during, and after experimental procedures
