To support our daily mission, we are looking for a Programme Manager (80-100%) at our headquarters in Bern. In the Thematic Research division, you will be ensuring excellent programme delivery and participating in the development of strategic topics.
You manage the implementation of a National Research Programme (NRP) from its inception to the final report.
You work at the interface between governing bodies, researchers, institutional partners, and stakeholders and foster strong networks across academia, policy, and practice.
You coordinate all programme activities ensuring the preparation of decision-making bases, the coordination of activities, the management of external mandates, and the conceptual and editorial work related to the programmes.
You contribute to the continuous development of the programme together with internal and external stakeholders.
You advise and support researchers throughout the entire funding lifecycle – from application to project completion.
You participate in the strategic development of the “Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials” (IICT) programme, in particular the preparation of decision-making bases, the coordination of analyses, and the support of reflections regarding its positioning and long-term evolution.
You participate in the preparation and handling of strategic SNSF projects.
You hold a university degree with a doctorate (PhD) in medicine, health sciences, or natural sciences.
You have experience in project or programme management, science management, and/or research management.
You have experience with transdisciplinary or solution-oriented research.
You think entrepreneurially and enjoy developing innovative solutions and ideas.
You grasp complex topics quickly and work in a structured, flexible, and well-organised manner.
You have an excellent command of German or French, with good knowledge of the other language, and very good command of English.
You are a team player with excellent communication and writing skills.
