Your Responsibilities:
We are looking for a hands-on engineering professional who is eager to contribute technically to challenging development projects from concept through implementation. Your primary focus will be on Aircraft Interiors and structural development, with the opportunity to work across other industries and technologies.
- Actively contribute to development projects from concept, prototyping, and testing through manufacturing, validation, and integration, with a strong focus on practical feasibility and technical implementation
- Clarify requirements with customers, develop and evaluate design concepts, and present technical results
- Design complex components and assemblies and create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and product structures
- Actively contribute to projects and coordinate technical work packages
- Evaluate technical concepts in terms of functionality, manufacturability, cost, and risk
- Technically coordinate suppliers, manufacturers, and other engineering disciplines
Your Profile:
- Solid practical and theoretical education in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, product development, or a related field
- Several years of experience in the design and development of complex products
- Ability to think beyond the pure design task and to develop viable solutions in the event of conflicting objectives
- Proficiency in CAD and PDM/PLM systems, as well as experience with technical drawings, bills of materials, and product structures
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, assembly, and practical implementation
- Independent, flexible, and solution-oriented personality with strong communication skills and a willingness to take technical responsibility
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, and project partners
- Very good German and English skills
- Experience with lightweight structures, aerospace or a comparable industry, and composites is an advantage
