Group ESG Reporting Manager - Your future role?
As a Group ESG Reporting Manager in Vernier, you will manage the organisation's ESG reporting and consolidation activities. This will ensure compliance with internal reporting requirements and external regulations, such as CSRD – Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. The Group ESG Reporting Manager will report to the Head of Reporting and Control.
Your main responsibilities
Intermediary responsibilities 2026/2027
ESG CSRD reporting requirements are in the phase of implementation at Givaudan. In this implementation phase, the responsibilities of the Group ESG Reporting Manager include

Develop change management plans for implementing the new operating model for Givaudan's ESG reporting;

Improve the OneStream system implementation for CSRD reporting, together with IT and the external implementation partner;

Become an OneStream admin/power user to
-
Train the end-users on the new reporting requirements
-
Participate (together with IT) in future reporting requirement developments
-
Promote reporting improvements at site level recommended by EY, our assurance provider;
-
Manage the teams and subject matter experts of Environmental Sustainability, EH&S, and HR. They are implementing new reporting Indicators (narratives or quantitative) to close the CSRD gaps identified.

Participate in workshops. Advise the teams, including Environmental Sustainability, EH&S, and HR, on important reporting principles. These principles include financial reporting year-end, the use of estimates, audit evidence, and internal controls. Additionally, understanding of reporting definitions, site closure reporting procedures, and inclusion of acquired entities are important principles to consider.

Review and upgrade the ESG Non-Financial Reporting Manual with the teams. This will include the latest CSRD content, provide expert insight to any changes in European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and deploy the ESG reporting manual within the Group.

Initiate and perform the EU taxonomy assessment (with a consulting partner) to ensure compliance with reporting regulations;

Participate in an RfP (together with the environmental sustainability team) to search and select a climate risk assessment tool to comply with the required TCFD reporting requirements.
Permanent responsibilities 2027 and onwards
CSRD reporting requirements will be applicable in 2027 and onwards for Givaudan. From that moment and onwards, the responsibilities of the Group ESG Reporting Manager will include
- Provide reporting instructions and support to the ESG reporting community within Givaudan;

Perform monthly ESG consolidation and reporting reviews to ensure compliance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), completeness of information, accuracy and reliability of data;

Provide expert insight to any changes in European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and develop the Group's interpretation of technical sustainability reporting matters for internal stakeholders and with external auditors;

Manage the teams and subject matter experts of Environmental Sustainability, EH&S, and HR. These teams will implement new reporting KPI's. Collaborate with the EHS & Sustainability Controller to lead constant improvements in reporting. The goal is to achieve better ESG Management Reporting, which will steer progress towards Givaudan's sustainability goals.

Improve the OneStream development, with inclusion of internal management KPI's, so that you eventually use OneStream for Internal Management Reporting and External Reporting in Givaudan's Integrated Report.

Perform Double Materiality Reviews on a yearly basis, with a full partner assessment every three years;

Manage the ESG review assurance process throughout the year with the external auditor;

Participate in the content creation and review of all ESG related chapters of the Givaudan's Integrated Report.

Integrate (in coordination with the teams (Environmental Sustainability, EH&S and HR) newly acquired entities into the ESG reporting framework.

People Management skills
The Group ESG Reporting Manager shall work with a great number of different partners within Givaudan. These partners include the teams (Environmental Sustainability, EH&S and HR), the Finance Managers, and GBS core teams and reporting teams. As the partner group is very diverse with multiple different priorities and expectations, excellent people managements skills are a requirement for this role.
Academic Background
-
University or Master Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Sustainability
-
Knowledge of CSRD reporting requirements, European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and similar regulations such as GRI and NetZero SBTi, and knowledge around Energy, Water & Plastics reduction, Responsible Sourcing and Biodiversity.
Professional Experience
-
10+ years of relevant experience in Financial or non-financial Reporting, Sustainability or equivalent roles in an international organisation
Technical Skills

High level of written proficiency in English; French as a benefit

Project Management experience

Experience with CSRD, European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and double materiality requirements

Experience with Reporting and Consolidation processes
