What You'll Do-
Manage the development of concise specifications, standards, and guideline documents to be used by project teams for electrical, lighting, and related works.
-
Assess the design, dimensions, and technical parameters for low-, medium-, and high-voltage power distribution, equipment (including switchgear, breaker & distribution panels), components, cables, and power upgrades.
-
Manage audits for quality, safety, and maintenance of electrical aspects of existing, new, and potential locations.
-
Lead consultations and workshops with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, utility providers, and stakeholders to align on design standards and resolve project challenges.
-
Identify opportunities and then propose, evaluate, prioritize, and execute initiatives to improve quality, cost, and speed across the organization.
-
Assist in engaging external design consultants for technical engineering design and take a leading role in evaluating their proposals and reviewing their designs.
-
Build, nurture, and leverage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including with Gigafactory & Supercharger teams.
-
Mentor project teams and buyers on best practices, providing ongoing guidance to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
-
Be the go-to person for all things related to electrical, power, and lighting for our projects, consultants, and other stakeholders. Your technical expertise will help to resolve issues creatively and thoroughly.
What You'll Bring-
University degree or equivalent training in an electrical engineering related field.
-
Proven experience (6+ years) in the sector, including 3+ years in designing and specifying electrical distribution & systems for buildings. Experience with small to medium commercial (retail or industrial) new-build and renovation projects is a plus.
-
Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution (above and below ground), lighting systems, grounding protection.
-
Knowledge in related areas like very low voltage systems, IT infrastructure, AV, security, fire alarms, utility providers, high-voltage upgrades, and solar systems advantageous.
-
Familiarity with IEC and European standards (e.g. VDE, DIN), skills in handling diverse regulations and adapting them for cross-border projects a plus.
-
Experience in monitoring construction, commissioning, verifying work completion, reviewing quality documents, and handling tenders.
-
Proven leadership in coordinating teams, managing projects (including timelines, resources, and deliverables), and overseeing designs from multiple disciplines and vendors to create unified construction sets.
