IT Operations Analyst

Your new role
As our new IT Operations Analyst, you will be the trusted face of IT at our Zurich site, ensuring meeting rooms run flawlessly, supporting users on their way out of the organization and welcoming new joiners with a smooth onboarding experience. You will combine technical expertise with a strong service orientation, ensuring that meetings, events and day-to-day operations run seamlessly.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Onboarding incoming users – delivering Day 1 IT equipment, setting up accounts and providing training on Microsoft 365, Teams and other corporate tools
- Managing outgoing IT support – ensuring secure return and reallocation of hardware, decommissioning of accounts and proper handover processes for leavers
- Delivering high-quality onsite IT support and services to all users, including walk-in/Techbar assistance and resolving incidents through ServiceNow
- Supporting meeting room technology through the installation, configuration, maintenance of AV equipment, and occasionally providing hands-on technical support before and during meetings, events and sales cycle sessions
- Safeguarding local IT infrastructure availability in close collaboration with GIWS Infrastructure teams and global subject matter experts
- Managing IT equipment, hardware inventory and asset records, and coordinating with vendors to maintain optimal stock levels and service quality
- Working in an Agile setup using Kanban, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting wider GIWS project implementations

You will join the HQ VIP Support team, part of Enterprise IT & Quality Local Onsite IT Support function based in Zurich. The team works closely with affiliate end users, global IT colleagues and external partners – making sure technology empowers everyone, every day, from the moment someone joins until the day they move on.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a service-minded IT professional who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and enjoys interacting with users at all levels of the organization. To succeed in this role, we imagine you bring:
- A degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, combined with 3–6 years' experience in IT support
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in audio-visual technology support, including meeting room setups
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, Office 365, hardware, infrastructure and iOS devices, along with experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
- ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent service management training); experience working in an Agile/Kanban setup is an asset
- Fluency in Swiss German (spoken) and English (written and spoken), combined with a customer-centric, proactive personality and excellent communication skills
