Senior Technology Analyst
1. JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Technology Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions that support business processes, digital transformation initiatives, and operational excellence. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
The position requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of systems integration and digital platforms, and the ability to operate autonomously in complex, cross‑functional, and international environments.
2. MAIN CHALLENGES

Lead requirements elicitation activities with business stakeholders, translating business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Analyze end‑to‑end business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and digital enablement.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned applications, platforms, or digital solutions.

Design functional and technical solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance standards.
- Support solution architecture definition, including integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity teams during solution implementation.
- Validate solution designs through reviews, impact assessments, and risk analysis.

Support technology initiatives across the full lifecycle: ideation, feasibility, design, build, test, deployment, and stabilization.
- Prepare effort estimates, timelines, and solution roadmaps for new demands and improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews) or traditional project governance as applicable.

Define and support test strategies, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure proper documentation of requirements, designs, interfaces, and operational procedures.
- Support knowledge transfer to support teams and business users.

Act as a key point of contact between business areas, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at different levels, including managers and senior leadership.
- Support change management activities, training, and solution adoption.

Be responsible for the operation cost performance, justification and RCA's in case of deviation.

Be responsible for the respective processes to perform according to the defined KPIs.
- Support to guarantee that all the VPS-Vale Production System is being followed in all the actions from process department.
3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in alignment with our purpose, values, key behaviors, levers, ambitions and maintain Vale's code of ethics and conduct.

Perform process activities with comply to all three dimensions of Vale Production System (VPS).

Perform process tasks following Vale’s HSE guidelines and IMS policy.

Responsible for 5S and housekeeping of the area.

Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements
-
Supports scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments.
-
Design and conduct experiments and analyze and interpret data.
-
Be responsible for conducting as well as owner of the RCAs.
4. QUALIFICATION:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

3 – 6 years of experience in project management

Fluent English and Portuguese (written and spoken), French is a plus
-
Experience working with global or multicultural teams is highly desirable
-
Solid experience in large, complex, and enterprise‑scale environments.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
