As a Statistics and Data Science Specialist at Nestlé Research, your mission is to apply advanced statistics and data science to accelerate scientific discovery and innovation across our product portfolio. How you’ll make an impact as a Statistics and Data Science Specialist

Designing robust lab and pilot experiments that generate reliable evidence and accelerate scientific progress.

Analysing complex experimental data to uncover actionable insights, quantify uncertainty, and strengthen decision-making.

Collaborating across scientific and technical teams to refine hypotheses and integrate data-driven thinking into innovation projects.

Translating statistical outputs into clear recommendations that guide formulation, process, and product development choices.

Building visualisations and models that make complex findings accessible to diverse stakeholders and project teams.

Driving innovation by applying advanced analytics to support better products, smarter decisions, and faster learning cycles.
What will make you successful

Bringing a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science.

Applying hands-on experience in mathematics-based data collection methodologies to generate robust experimental data.

Using hands-on expertise in statistical inference, statistical modelling techniques, optimization algorithms, and machine learning techniques to solve scientific challenges.

Bringing proficiency in Python programming, with knowledge of R as a plus, and proven experience in data-driven modelling for product design, particularly in food or related consumer products, as a plus.

Communicating fluently in English.
